Morley's Final Catalogue: Referring also to Brown-line bright-eye: Of frequent occurrence throughout the County, from Bentley to Gorleston.

Recent Suffolk Status: Common.

Life history: Single-brooded.

Identification: Most like the White-point and easily confused. Note the black area of scales on the underside of the male moths is present on both species so cannot be used as a feature for identity. The main feature is the kidney mark, which is pure white and round on White-point. White-point is also slightly smaller.

Habitat: Various grassy habitats including gardens.
