Morley's Final Catalogue: Stowmarket before 1859 (Stainton, Man. ii, 157); several specimens at Bentley by Garrett and Miller (ante 1890), and one sitting on an oak-trunk there on 11 July 1902 (Mly); Flixton, Bungay (Toms). Five in Bentley Woods, 1937 (Gd).

Recent Suffolk status: Extinct in the county

Life history: Single-brooded in the summer.

Identification: Similar to Least black arches but flies later in the season and is a larger moth.

Habitats: Woodland.

Retained Specimen / Photograph will be Required.

First Recorded in 1859.
Last Recorded in 1937.
