Recent Status: A local species in Suffolk.

Life Style: The moth is single brooded flying by night in mid-summer and coming to light. The larvae feed from spun needles of Larix decidua. They pupate in the larval habitation.

Identification: The male has a costal fold to around two fifths. The sexes are otherwise similar with a grey brown irrorate white wing largely reticulate and strigulated dark fuscous. There are areas of ochre that may form a broad fasciae or fall short of the costa and light ochre shading either side of a darker pre-apical costal patch.
