Recent Status: A local rare species in Suffolk.

Life Style: A single brooded species that flies by day and also comes to light. It can be found from June to August. The larvae feed on the flowers and seeds of Eupatorium. They hibernate fully grown where they pupate in a stem of the foodplant.

Identification: A species of variable ground colour with the head and thorax the same colour as the basal quarter of the wing which ranges from off white through cream to ferruginous. The forewings are marked with a broad central cross band and extensive markings beyond. The strength of the markings is in line with the ground colour. More Info
