Recent Status: A common British Elachista species that is easily recognised and hence commonly recorded in Suffolk.

Life Style: A single brooded species that comes to light flying between May and August. The larvae feed on a variety of grasses and will hibernate.

Identification: An all white species holding the wings tent-like in the Elachista fashion. The larvae mine downwards from the oviposition site near the tip of a grass stem. Hibernating larvae will do so in the mine. They leave the mine to pupate. More Info
