Recent Status: Uncommon in Suffolk.

Life Style: A single brooded species flying from June to September. The larvae feed from a slight spinning on leaves of deciduous Quercus. They pupate in a pale brown cocoon on the ground or the trunk of the tree.

Identification: The moth is a broad winged Ypsolopha in light buff strigulated ochre, with two ochre fasciae from the dorsum reaching beyond half way across the wing and usually reaching the costa. The moth is similar to Y. alpella but a deeper colour and with longer fascia. More Info
