Recent Status: A regular immigrant species that has resident populations.

Life Style: Reported as a single brooded species but a second partial brood may occur. The moth flies at dusk and night and comes to light. The larvae feed on the leaves of several species of Fabaceae. They may spin a web across a plant occupied by more than one larva. Larvae hibernate and pupate in a cocoon at ground level.

Identification: Oncocera semirubella colloquially known as the Rhubarb and Custard Moth, is a very distinctive rosy colour with a white costal streak and a yellow dorsum. The pink can be shaded partly grey and invade the white streak and reduce the yellow dorsal area. The moth has erect palps.
