Recent Status: A common species particularly in the Sandlings area.

Life Style: A single brooded mid-summer flying species that comes to light. The larvae feed on Rumex acetosella and R. crispus.

Identification: A small white moth that has large antennal scapes that form eyecaps completely covering the eye at rest. They may occasionally show a yellowish costa. At rest the moth lies flatter than Elachista argentella which holds its wings tent-like.
