Recent Status: A regular immigrant species. It is possible it may breed in Suffolk.

Life Style: This is a multi-brooded species that comes to light and can be found at any time during the year. The larvae feed on the seeds of Malva arborea and Alcea rosea. They pupate away from the larval habitation.

Identification: A distinctively marked Olethreutinae with a short forward pointing tuft on the head.
