Life Style: A double brooded species that flies at night and arrives as an immigrant. It can be found in June and August to November. The larvae feed on the surface of fruit and leaves on a variety of deciduous trees but particularly Malus, Pyrus and Prunus.

Identification: The moth is a glossy bright ochreous colour with darker oblique narrow bands and lines. The markings are variable and can be almost absent. The male has a costal fold. The moth has broad wings the female showing broad shoulders.
