Life Style: A single or possibly double brooded species flying during summer. The larvae hibernate. They feed in the flowers and seeds and bore into the shoots and stems of Matricaria chamomilla, Anthemis cotula, Tripleurospermum inodorum or T. maritumum. They may pupate in the larval habitation or on the ground.
Identification: This species is distinguished from similar species by a slight pink tinge in the terminal third of the forewing. This is sometimes faint and may be reduced to an area at the apex but will always be detectable.Recorded in 27 (47%) of 58 10k Squares.
