Status Morley's Final Catalogue: By no means scarce, often at light with the last species. Copdaock, infrequent about Ipswich, occassionally in Monks Soham garden, Stowmarket, Aldeburgh, Beccles, Bungay.
Recent Suffolk Status: Common.
Life history: Single-brooded in the summer.
Identification: Similar to other species of Fan-foot. Small Fan-foot is the smallest species and the outer line curves to the top corner of the forewing. Shaded Fan-foot has a straighter first cross-line and darker shading across the centre of the forewing. Fan-foot is a larger moth. Common Fan-foot (extinct in the county) has a greyish forewing and a white hindwing.
