Status Morley's Final Catalogue: A single quite fresh specimen at sugar on the top of Gorleston Cliff on 1 October 1922 (Doughty). None later.
Recent Suffolk Status: A regular immigrant species to the county that may have quite recently colonized, with larger numbers noted from many sites in 2023 including well inland.
Life history: Possibly double-brooded in Suffolk. Most records are in the autumn.
Identification: Quite variable in colour, with some quite pale and others darker with more obvious cross lines, but unlike any other wainscot species.
