Morley's Final Catalogue: Rare in the few sylvan places where it occurs. Brandon, Woolpit, Stowmarket, Needham, Playford, Bentley: ante 1890. Belstead, one 1899 (Platten); occasionally on undergrowth in woods, Bentley 1894-1933 (Mly,D); and 1936 at Blythburgh (Gd).

Recent Suffolk Status: Has become much more common in recent years. There have been a few sightings in the autumn in recent times suggesting a partial second brood may occur in warm years.
