Morley's Final Catalogue: Much less frequent than the last, but distributed everywhere from Wherstead to both Wordwell (Mly) and Gorleston (Mr).

Recent Suffolk Status: Common.

Life history: Single-brooded. Adults can be seen at dusk flying round the foodplant, females laying eggs. Larvae can be found by looking for frass exuding from seedheads.

Identification: Unmistakeable.

Habitat: Woodland rides, grassland, scrub areas, hedgerows and gardens

Recorded in 52 (90%) of 58 10k Squares.
