Status Morley's Final Catalogue: Not noted from the county in Morley's time. The first UK record was in Kent in 1924. Colonized the Breck area in the 1950's.
Recent Suffolk Status: Extinct as a breeding species in the Brecks. A single coastal record of a wanderer/ immigrant at Bawdsey in 2013 (M. Deans).
Life history: Double-brooded.
Identification: See Cloaked and Sharp-angled carpets. White-banded carpet is a strictly black and white moth with no other colours.
