Recent Status: A scarce species in Suffolk.
Life Style: The moth has a long flight period over the summer. It flies at night and comes to light. The larvae feed in the rootstock of Artemisia absinthium where they hibernate. During the spring they move into a stem where they pupate.
Identification: A grey brown forewing marked with white and darker scales. The pale pre median line is half way along the moth. White scales dominate along the costal area and there is a darker shading lying from the middle of the median band to the wing apex, interrupted by the pale post median line. | Retained Specimen / Photograph will be Required. | |
