Status
Morley’s Final Catalogue: This local kind, on Potentilla, has not been found since it turned up at Leiston, before 1890 (Grey).

Recent Status: A rare species in Suffolk.

Life Style: A double brooded summer flying species. The moth flies by day and night and may come to light. The larvae feed from a spinning beneath or folded leaf of Fragaria, Potentila, Poterium or Thymus. The larvae may hibernate fully fed or feed during winter and pupate in a cocoon in the feeding location which may fall to the ground.

Identification: This is a small narrow winged, hooked apex Ancylis. It has a dark dorsal patch which scarcely reaches half wing length and is broad, reaching the costa at the wing base.
