Recent Status: A scarce species in Suffolk.
Life Style: A single brooded species flying during June, July and August. The moth flies by day but will come to light. The larvae feed from spun shoots on Crataegus, Prunus and Malus. The larvae hibernate and pupate in the larval habitation.
Identification: A dull fuscous species with dark brown mottling. Markings, if evident, are a darker basal fascia, broad median band and across the apex to the tornus.
