Recent Suffolk status: Local, mainly in VC26. Very few records from VC25.
More records in recent years with the use of pheromones.

First county record in 2004 at Barton Mills. First VC25 record in 2021 at Knodishall.

Life history: Single-brooded, flying in from late spring through to the summer.

Identification: Orange tail fan is the main distinguishing feature.

Habitats: Scrub, woodlands, gardens.

Recorded in 8 (14%) of 58 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 2004.
Last Recorded in 2023.
