Recent Suffolk status: One of the more commonly recorded clearwings in Suffolk.
More records in recent years with the use of pheromones.

Life history: Single-brooded, flying in summer.

Identification: A small species with two fine yellow lines on the thorax.

Habitats: Allotments, wet woodlands, gardens.

Recorded in 27 (47%) of 58 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1894.
Last Recorded in 2024.
