Morley's Final Catalogue: Confined to our marshiest spots; local or confused with the next. Ipswich, once (Mly), Bixley Decoy (Ml), Beccles (Crf). One at Tuddenham in 1909 (Nurse).

Recent Suffolk Status: Locally common in in wetland sites across the county.

Life history: Single-brooded in the summer.

Identification: Unmistakeable.

Habitat: Damp grassland, reedbeds, fens.

Recorded in 43 (74%) of 58 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1909.
Last Recorded in 2024.
