Morley's Final Catalogue: Our commonest sylvan snout, frequent among undergrowth in late May. Always in Bentley Woods (Garrett, Pyett, Mly), Copdock (Hkg), Holbrook Park (C), Ipswich, Stowmarket. Mildenhall in June 1933 (Gd).

Recent Suffolk Status: Extinct.

Life history: Single-brooded in early summer.

Identification: Similar to other species of Fan-foot. Common Fan-foot has a greyish forewing and a white hindwing.

Habitat: Woodland.

Verification Grade Comment: Very scarce.

Retained Specimen / Photograph will be Required.

First Recorded in 1933.
Last Recorded in 1935.
