Morley's Final Catalogue: The sole Suffolk capture of this conspicuous Snout seems that effected at Brandeston about 1850 by Revd. Joseph Greene.

Recent Suffolk status: A single recent record at Leiston on 17.06.2021 (J. Evans).

Life history: Single-brooded. Adults known to wander from resident populations.

Identification: Unmistakeable.

Habitat: Woodland, open woodland, moorland and heaths.

Retained Specimen / Photograph will be Required.

Recorded in 3 (5%) of 58 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1850.
Last Recorded in 2021.
