Morley's Final Catalogue: Not recorded from the County in Morley's time.

Recent Suffolk Status: The first County record was on 26.08.2012, at Bawdsey Hall (M.J. Deans). The second record, also the first for VC26 was at Woolpit on 20.06.2013 (P. Bryant). Following that, there were 6 records in 2015, then 4 records in 2017 and a single record in 2022.

Life history: Multi-brooded on the continent.

Identification: Purple Marbled is a bigger moth with streaking and a basal streak. Beautiful Marbled is bigger with normally a quite clear separation between the purple and pale yellow.

Habitat: Coastal.

Retained Specimen / Photograph will be Required.

Recorded in 5 (9%) of 58 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 2012.
Last Recorded in 2022.
