Recent Suffolk status: Immigrant. Occurring in most years, occasionally in large numbers as in 2022.
Identification: Similar in appearance to the more commonly-occurring Scarce Bordered Straw but has a 'cleaner' and plainer appearance.
Life history: Only occurs as an immigrant species which is unable to survive our winters. In exceptional migrant years, larvae can sometimes be found on plants such as Marigolds.
