Recent Suffolk status: Unlikely to occur in the county, mainly found as a resident species in the New Forest, Hants. Whether this species has ever been recorded from Suffolk is open to question.
Life history: Single-brooded. Flies in warm sunny weather over the heathland habitat, nectaring at flowers.
Identification: Marbled clover lacks the dark shoulder-stripe mark at the base of the forewing.
Habitat: Heathland.
