Morley's Final Catalogue: (Referring also to Dark arches): Both in such numbers as to be pestilent at light and sugar.

Recent Suffolk Status: Common.

Life history: Single-brooded. Very occasional late records in the autumn in recent times.

Identification: Reddish light arches is darker in colour. In the centre of the forewing, there is a short, thick brown bar in Reddish light arches rather than a scythe-shaped mark.

Habitat: A wide variety of habitats including gardens.

Recorded in 55 (95%) of 58 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1940.
Last Recorded in 2024.
