Suffolk status: Common.

A common moth to be found across the county and may be found at light or visiting the flowers of Ivy in autumn.

It is an attractive and variable moth found in parks, gardens, woodland and farmland hedgerows. The larvae feed on Beech, Oak and Field Maple, at first on the buds and later on the flowers and leaves.
