Always rare about Ipswich and in Bentley Woods, Leiston; a series on ivy-blossom at Monks Soham in October 1932. Needham, Henham, Hemley in 1902, Frostenden, Bury: Beccles, rare at Fritton and Burgh Castle.
Recent Suffolk Status: Common.
Life history: Single-brooded. Regular at light, usually in small numbers. Commonly recorded at Ivy blossom.
Identification: Yellow-line quaker is sandy brown in colour, not grey and has the line in the outer part of the forewing yellowish, not reddish.
Habitat: Woodlands, scrub, hedgerows and gardens.
