Morley's Final Catalogue: Abundant on sugar and ivy-blossom everywhere from Bentley to Burgh Castle. At Fritton on sallow in April 1935.

Recent Suffolk Status: Common.

Life history: Single-brooded. Occasional at light in small numbers. Regularly recorded at Ivy blossom and Blackberries. Larvae have been found in Suffolk by collecting fallen Poplar catkins where the larvae start to feed before switching to various low-growing plants.

Identification: Yellow-line quaker has a straight yellow line in the outer part of the forewing, not wavy like in the Brick. Dusky-lemon sallow lacks the fine, wavy cross-lines.

Habitat: Woodlands, scrub, gardens.
