Recent Suffolk Status: A very rare immigrant, with just four records: Nowton on 22.07.1982 and during 1996 (R. Eley), Sicklesmere on 20.08.2006 (S. Dumican) and Landguard on 1.09.2021 (N. Odin).

Life history: Single-brooded. Can be found at rest on fence posts, rocks and barbed wire fences during the day in its native habitats. Also found at night on Heather flowers, sugar and at light.

Identification: Compare with Sword-grass and Red Sword-grass.

Habitat: Moorland.

Retained Specimen / Photograph will be Required.
