Morley's Final Catalogue: No records exist since Bloomfield instances it in 1890 as having occurred at Woolpit, sec. the Revd. Harpur Crewe, and Beccles, sec. Dr. W. M. Crowfoot, till 1934 when Mr. Burton took one at light in Holton.

Recent Suffolk Status: Extinct. Now a very scarce species in southern Britain.

Life history: Single-brooded. More easily recorded as a larva on the foodplants.

Identification: Smaller than Mullein, which flies earlier in the year.

Habitat: Road verges, open fields and woodland rides.
