Recent Suffolk Status: Scare immigrant, not recorded every year in the county. Has become a bit more regular since 2000.

Life history: Multi-brooded, but mainly found in the autumn in Suffolk.

Identification: The pointed forewing, white dot and dark diagonal streak from the apex of the wing should separate this species from other wainscots.

Habitat: Coastal sites.

Verification Grade Comment: Rare. Often confused with White-point.
