Morley's Final Catalogue: No confirmation has arisen during the past half-century of the doubtful record at 'Ipswich' of this species by Mr. Garrett (Bloomfield's Lepid. Suff. 1890, p.17), who died in 1888. Suffolk is thus its most northerly extension from central Europe.

Recent Suffolk Status: Uncertain. No records. Mainly found in the lower Severn valley in the UK.

Life history: Single-brooded.

Identification: Unlike any other British species.

Habitat: Grasslands, hedgerows, open woodland.
