Recent Suffolk Status: Common.

Life history: Double-brooded. The second brood much larger than the first. Numbers can be boosted by immigration. Common at light traps. Larvae have been found in Suffolk in the autumn.

Identification: White colon is larger, has the obvious white colon mark, and the outer line doesn't have a w mark. Dusky brocade is larger.

Habitat: Waste ground, coastal sites, grassland, gardens.
