Recent Suffolk Status: Records in recent years from the Ixworth area are known to originate from to a deliberate release, possibly around 2014.
In 2019 several were noted at Bixley Heath, Ipswich in June (origins unknown but most likely a deliberate release as not in typical habitat), one was light-trapped at Bawdsey Hall on 24 June (M.J. Deans) followed by another at Ipswich Golf Course, Purdis Farm on 10 July (N. Sherman). Increasing and spreading eastwards nationally so more records are expected in the near future.
