Morley's Final Catalogue: No less frequent than the last and equally wide spread; sometimes at Monks Soham light in July.

Recent Suffolk Status: Common.

Life history: Double-brooded. Larvae have been found in the autumn in the county on Sallows.

Identification: Common white wave is similar but the cross lines are black and straight.

Habitat: Woodland, Carr woodland, river valleys.

Recorded in 50 (86%) of 58 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1940.
Last Recorded in 2024.
