Morley's Final Catalogue: Frequent on all our heaths, though not often seen on those of Foxhall and Rushmere or elsewhere about Ipswich; common in 1919 at the Creeting Hills. Lound, Fritton and Belton (D, Mr). Abounds on the Breck: Tuddenham Fen, Barton Mills, &c. (Mly).

Recent Suffolk Status: Local in the Sandlings and Breck.

Life history: Double-brooded in Suffolk. Emerging earlier, in April, in recent years. Mainly day-flying, with occasional records at light.

Identification: Latticed heath rests with wings partially open, unlike Common heath which rests with the wings fully open. The markings on Latticed heath are more clearer and neater.

Habitat: Heathland.

Recorded in 21 (36%) of 58 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1940.
Last Recorded in 2024.
