Morley's Final Catalogue: Extinct in Britain. No reason exists, however, why Harpur Crewe's record of the species from Holbrook Park, where oak abounds, should not have been correct in 1856. No confirmation is likely to arise in the future, unfortunately.

Recent Suffolk Status: Extinct. Last seen in the UK in 1898.

Life history: Single-brooded.

Identification: Unmistakeable.

Habitat: Mature Oak woodland.

Retained Specimen / Photograph will be Required.
