Morley's Final Catalogue: Both quite frequent from Bentley Woods to Gorleston, occuring occasionally at Monks Soham light in summer.

Recent Suffolk Status: Common.

Life history: Single-brooded. Larvae have been found in the spring on various shrubs and trees in Suffolk including Broom.

Identification: Scalloped hazel normally flies earlier in the year and is more brownish in colour.

Habitat: Woodlands, scrub areas, hedgerows, gardens.

Recorded in 56 (97%) of 58 10k Squares.
