Morley's Final Catalogue: This species was added to the Suffolk List in 1931 by Mr F. T. Crisp, at Hemingstone on 2 August 1928 (Trans. i, 234).

Recent Suffolk Status: Not found in the county. Only known from Yorshire and a few sites in Scotland.

Life history: Single-brooded.

Identification: See Bordered beauty which does occur in the county.

Habitat: Open damp grassland, heathland, edges of woods in northern England and Scotland.

Retained Specimen / Photograph will be Required.
