Morley's Final Catalogue: One found in Belstead road at Ipswich, about 1895 (Baylis) and at Bixley Decoy (Ml: both Suppl. 1900). Abundant among Larch at Foxhall, Benhall and a few at Chillesford, in 1933-5 (Mly).

Recent Suffolk Status: Locally common in the Sandlings and Brecks.

Life history: Single-brooded.

Identification: Cloaked pug is much larger. Oak-tree pug has a smaller discal spot.

Habitat: Coniferous woodland, gardens.

Recorded in 28 (48%) of 58 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1895.
Last Recorded in 2024.
