Morley's Final Catalogue: Common, and levelly distributed, so surely not feeding on Juniper. Bentley Woods and frequent around Ipswich (Mly); Kesgrave, Campsey Ash, Stowmarket. Common about Bury (Wrt); Dalham.

Recent Suffolk Status: Rare, with few recent records. Some of these records near the coast could be migrants.

Life history: Single-brooded in one long generation.

Identification: See Oak-tree pug, which flies earlier in the year.

Habitat: Gardens where ornamental Junipers are grown, also coastal areas.

Recorded in 18 (31%) of 58 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1940.
Last Recorded in 2023.
