Morley's Final Catalogue: Generally distributed and usually somewhat common, but rather infrequent about Ipswich; occasionally in the upmost profusion in Parham Wood, &c. Monks Soham, at light (Mly); Gorleston (Mr, D).

Recent Suffolk Status: Common.

Life history: Double brooded. Records during the autumn of a third brood in recent years. Easily flushed from grasslands by day as well as common at light.

Identification: Small blood-vein is smaller.

Habitat: A wide variety of habitats including gardens.

Recorded in 55 (95%) of 58 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1940.
Last Recorded in 2024.
