Morley's Final Catalogue: Not noted from the county in Morley's time. Catalogue states: Thelera fimbrialis , Sc., was introduced as British quite recently.

Recent Suffolk Status: A single record of a probable immigrant individual at a coastal site in 2023.

Life history: Single brooded in the summer.

Identification: Common emerald does not have two points on the hindwings.

Habitat: Coastal shingle in Kent where the main colonies are.

Verification Grade Comment: Protected species so must be released where caught.

Retained Specimen / Photograph will be Required.
