Morley's Final Catalogue: Very local, but by no means rare in only a few of our larger woods among oak and birch.
Recent Suffolk Status: Most of the recent records from one known site, with a single record from the Brecks in 2008. Older recorded sites have been searched with no success.
Life history: Single brooded.
Identification: Late flight season and the 2 brown bands across the wing make this species unmistakeable.
Habitats: Woodland, parkland with old Oaks.
