Morley's Final Catalogue: With us nearly confined to the Breck, and there both very local and apparently decadent. Newmarket heath (Fenland), Tuddenham (Skepper, Wrt) up to at least 1900 (Sparke). Herringfleet, before 1890 (Crf); several at Bradwell doles in June 1935 (D, Mly).

Recent Suffolk Status: No recent records. Possibly extinct.

Life history: Single-brooded in late spring/early summer.

Identification: Unmistakeable.

Habitat: Grassland, heathland, wetland.

Retained Specimen / Photograph will be Required.

Recorded in 4 (7%) of 58 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1900.
Last Recorded in 1971.
