Morley's Final Catalogue: Referring also to Beaded chestnut: In profusion on sugar and ivy-blossom everywhere from Bentley to Burgh Castle. The latter at Wingfield, and abroad till 5 November 1932 at Monks Soham; Mildenhall in 1936.

Recent Suffolk Status: Common.

Life history: Single-brooded. Seen at light in small numbers. Occasionally recorded at Ivy blossom.

Identification: Both the normal form and F. rufa-pallida are regularly seen in Suffolk. Beaded chestnut does not have the blackish marks along the costa, any marks there are brown in colour.

Habitat: Woodlands, scrub, hedgerows, parkland and gardens.
