Recent Suffolk Status: Widespread and fairly common; though generally scarcer than Common, Scarce and Dingy Footman.

Life history: Single-brooded in the summer. A small, partial second generation in the autumn has been noted in recent years.

Identification: Grey with orange/yellow fringes. Also orange form (f. unicolor) and very dark form (f. plumbia)

Habitat: Woodland, coniferous woodland, gardens.
